Happy New Year, Swamp Family!
NEW FEATURES
We'll issue a 2025 year-end wrap up later this week, but we have a few exciting new features to share:
-
Map of venues played: Under Shows > Venues, there is now an interactive map that shows pins for all shows entered into our database based on the venue's location. If you click on a pin, it lists the dates of shows played at that venue with a link to that detailed setlist page.
-
Upvote favorite song versions: Similar to HeadyVersion, you can now "upvote" your favorite versions of songs played. Navigate to the song you want to vote on (i.e. via Music > Songs Played Live > select song) and you will be able to upvote the performance from a specific show by clicking the "up" arrow in the first column. You must be logged in to take advantage of this feature - TTBase accounts are free!
-
Live recording links expanded to non-TTB artists: Until this week, we have only had live recording links for TTB shows on the detailed setlist pages. We have added Live Music Archive & Relisten links for Derek Trucks Band, Widespread Panic, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and Friends, Mickey Hart, Col. Bruce Hampton, Billy Strings, Goose, North Mississippi Allstars, Marcus King Band, Joe Russo's Almost Dead, Eric Krasno, Sam Grisman Project, Little Feat, and Aquarium Rescue Unit. If you find any broken links, please drop us a note so we can address the issue.
ONGOING WORK
When we launched the site back in April, we had 1272 shows in our database - almost solely TTB shows. At the time of writing, we now have 3732 shows in our database, thanks largely to DTB show entries. I will note that not all of them have setlists attached to them yet; it simply means we have an entry for that date/venue on our site. Jake and I are currently adding the setlist information for DTB shows that we were able to mine from dtbsetlists.com via WayBack Machine. We are working our way backwards and have uploaded information for shows from 2005-2009, though the dtbsetlists site underwent major changes in 2008 that were helpful for user experience at the time but negatively impacted its ability to be properly archived. That said, we have many gaps in 2008 and 2009. If you went to any DTB shows in that timeframe, please check the setlist entry and send us any information that you have! We will continue to add setlists for Derek's solo endeavors dating back to 1990, and we'll provide an update when this effort is complete.
Jake has also been adding sit-ins and Susan solo shows to the database - every bit as crucial, but not as well documented. If you have any information to contribute, please get in touch with us! Next major task for setlists is uploading Derek-era ABB shows (~660 shows according to our internal documentation).
I've done a bit of organizing and adding to the discography page recently. When you navigate to the discography page from the menu bar, it defaults to showing the "core" discography of TTB, DTB, and Susan solo records via tag filtering. Tags have been added for studio, live, video, and collaborations. We still have a long list of albums to add to the collaborations, and we'll continue that work in the background in the coming weeks.
THANKS
This has been such a special year for us. Thank you all so much for the support you've shown for TTBase since we launched back in April. Special shoutout to Tracy McKay who has taken the time to take photos of SO MANY of her old dTB setlists that she collected over the years and share them with us, as well as the Songfish development team (platform that our site runs on) for implementing the venue map and Heady Version-style upvoting. Edit (1/9/26): And G. Christopher Shaw for sharing a bunch of content he had saved from the old dtbsetlists.com site! The work he and others put into that site have made our jobs infinitely easier to archive the years prior to the formation of TTB.
Running a site like this is new to us, so in 2026, we will try to provide more regular updates throughout the year :) Just need to add some new TTBase-specifc rhythms to our week to help keep this community connected and in-the-loop
Excited for what this year has in store -
Seth & Jake
